She smiled broadly. "I am sure you would do well enough. You seem more respectable than many of the other Sers who have come for the tourney. To tell the truth, I think most of them would have simply skipped the wedding had there not been a tourney attached." "As for my own plans, the Princess and I plan to take a tour of the great houses of Westeros. We will even go all the way north to Winterfell! I have always wanted to travel, and here is my chance."

"You honor me with your words, my lady!" Cedric does not say, however, that he would probably be one of those that wouldn't have attended if there was not a tourney.
"Really, all the way to Winterfell? That is a long journey for two high-born ladies. I hope a few members of the Kingsguard will be protecting you, as I have heard rumors that roves of bandits roam the North. Some say that one group even stole Ice out from under the noses of the Winterfell guards!"

She inclined her head, looking modestly at her feet. Family, Duty, Honor, she thought, and I am missing but one of those.
"I have also heard those rumors. When I saw Lord Stark at the feast, he looked like all the light had gone out of his eyes. I am sure the King wouldn't send his beloved youngest daughter into the wild north unprotected. We will be fine. Perhaps we could even visit the Reach," she suggested.

Cedric smiles. "You would be well received there too. Highgarden is obviously not fit for guests, but Horn Hill is just on the other side of the Mander River, and we have many wondrous sights. My father would be honored if the two of you would grace our halls with your presence! Of course, it goes without saying that I would be happy too."

"Perhaps I will ask the Princess to consider it. I am sure a visit to your family's keep would well suit our purposes." She said, glancing at him sidelong. "And yes, I am sure it would be quite an honor to have the youngest Targaryen in your home."

"Please let me know of her answer. My father has been slightly ill lately, surely such news would only serve as a source of youth and vigor!"

"I am certain she would agree. Aelinor is interested in travelling and meeting everyone of consequence in her father's lands." Lorraine noticed the sky was dimming in twilight. "Oh, you have spent a long while here, Ser Cedric. I hope I am not keeping you away from anything of import?"

"No, but I must meet with my father and sisters and dine with them before long. This visit has been a nice change of pace, my lady. It was a good opportunity to see the beautiful secrets King's Landing harbors." Ser Cedric bowed to the Lady Lannister, took her hand in his, and kissed it.
"I must be leaving, or else gossips will start a wonderful rumor about us, I am sure of it. Until we meet again, Lady Lorraine." His hand fell from the lady's, and he exited the gardens. If she were to look down, she would see that the flower Cedric had picked earlier was now resting in the palm of her hand.

"I am glad to have had you here, and gladder still that you enjoyed your visit." She accepted his gallant kiss on her hand. "Of course," she blushed to think of the rumors. "I will look forward to when next we shall meet." She watched him leave through the wrought iron gate. As she turned to enter the Manse again, from the garden entrance, she realised there was something in her palm. The flower was crushed by the heat and the pressure of her hand, but she knew it was the one Cedric had taken from the garden. Looking back at the gate, she thought again of Cedric and wondered if he was thinking of her.
