"I'll treasure this gift my lady... and the bow." With reverence he wrapped the mighty gift and hugged it close to his chest. Going through the crowd as if in a daze, he looked at the face carved into the tree. It had watched, and answered...

Cedric smiled, and he finally seemed relaxed, for what was probably only the second time since entering the city. "I am so glad you accepted, my lady. I admit I was worried you would refuse, for I would look like the greatest fool in Westeros."

Edric heads over to Lady Lorraine and Ser Cedric to congratulate him.
"Ser Cedric! A valiant display today. You truly deserve the recognition. And Lady Lorraine, I'm afraid my small wooden blades mean nothing compared to being crowned the Queen of Love and Beauty. A title most befitting you. A glorious day all around, I must say."

Lorraine looked dismayed. "Why did you think I would have refused, Ser Cedric?"
She smiled bashfully at Ser Edric. "I don't think the title suits me so well as you, Ser. And your blades are just another honor heaped upon this day." She looked between the two of them. "I thank you both."

Worried that he had just insulted the lady, he quickly tried to fix the situation. "Well, I was a little worried that I was not worthy enough of such a beautiful woman's attention, my lady."
"Ah, thank you Ser Edric. You were a worthy opponent, and I wish to congratulate you on your own victory in the melee."

Renly Dondarrion approached Cedric Tarly, who as the victor was surrounded by people, to congratulate him on his win in the final of the jousting. The Lightning Lord did not feel shamed at his loss. At 40 he realised his best years were probably behind him. Still he had shown a few of these younger men how to fight.
"Ser Cedric....I commend you on your victory." he said.

"Lady Lorraine, you are much too modest."
Turning back to Cedric, he says:
"Thank you Ser Cedric. I had hoped to see you in the melee as well. Another time mayhaps."

Lorraine tried not to cry or giggle or do anything stupid that would make her look silly. "Please don't worry about that. I am overwhelmed with the honor of the title you have given me. I haven't even the right words to tell you all I feel at the moment. Just...thank you." She curtseyed, still clutching Edric's swords in the crook of her left arm.
"And thank you, Ser Edric. I am glad you find me so."

Felric saw the Victors gathered. Talking, laughing, the honor was theirs. He approached the shining knight bashfully. "Ser Tarly, you have shown your prowess beyond compare." Felric stammered out "It was amazing to watch. And the lady I am glad you recieved your prize. No one is more worthy of it. Edric." Turning to the grizzled man "Bloody good job."

Happy to see Lady Lorraine appreciate his gift to her, Edric lets out a slight grin before turning to greet Felric.
"And let us not forget you, Felric Crowl. The northern bowmaster has proven himself yet again. Good tidings to you."

She grinned at Felric. "You bested me again, Master Crowl! Ah well, I believe you deserved the prize. A weirwood bow is fitting for a man of the north such as you."

His smile slowly faded from his face, to be replaced by a furrowed brow. "The bow... yes. I've never seen its like. It seems to be older than the others I've seen. And the markings... Well this is not the place for it" Looking up and grinning "It seems we'll all have a little to celebrate this day. And now you must excuse me. I have a bit of business to be getting to." Felric swung up onto his garron, and rode down the road."

Seeing the Stormlander approach, Cedric replied, "And I thank you for such a great final tilt. It was close, and I feared at one moment that you surely had beat me. I look forward to when we face each other again."
To the lizard-lion, "Perhaps you will, Ser Edric. Though after seeing your skill with those blades of yours, I doubt my chances."
After talking to the Reed, he turned to th other northerner, a Crowl if Cedric was not mistaken. "I am glad the tilt was a good show. I would not have wanted it to be boring."
Finally, to the "Queen", he stated "You are more than welcome, my Lady Lannister!" A large smile was displayed on Cedric's face, for all the world to see.

"I must beg my leave of you all. Enjoy the rest of the celebrations. Ser Cedric, I hope you do not plan to leave the city too soon. I would like to discuss the purchase of a horse from your reknowned stables in Horn Hill. But let us leave that for a different time."

"I hope to see you again, Master Crowl. And to hear the secrets of your new weapon." She bowed her head as he took off.
She smiled at the Dondarrion. He had come quite close to unhorsing Cedric. She was terribly glad he had not.
"I thank you again, Ser Cedric. I hope to see you again. Don't forget that the Princess Aelinor and I will come to your family's seat! It will be a few months I am sure, but we will make it there at last."
