"And don't you threaten a Brother of the Night's Watch, Priest." His steel was out before the Priest's hand was on his hilt.

No, not again... He backed away and brought out his steel. "Calm down..."

"I am very calm," said the man, who did not move toward Donal or away. "Put your sword down, priest."

"The difference between you and I is that I am a Brother of the Night's Watch. Drop it, interloper."

He seemed to stop and think for a moment. But he had committed to this, and did not wish to back down or seem a fool in front of the rest. And so he continued to press him. "Go on, drop it."

The helmed man reached down to take the sword but another hand beat him to it. It was Beverley, the Master at Arms. "Get back to your post," he spat. The helmed man hesitated a moment, but sheathed his steel and left hurriedly. Beverley offered Donal his sword back. "No discipline," he said by way of explanation.

Beverley laughed. "No matter, you'll be one of us soon enough anyway. Tell me, though, why do you insist on wearing these red robes? It singles you out...and you know most of Westeros has no love for your god."

He looked deeply at his robes, only he knew what they had passed through. "As we get to ther training we are given only one robe, and with him we must stick to the rest of our lives, of course we can take'em out and sometimes use other clothes and repair them..." He pointed to the oddments on his clothes. " But this is the only true robe we shall have... With these robes i passed through famine, disease, filthyness and much more... They represent our loyalty and honor pledged to the red god..." He sighed. "I'll use them proudfully until the day I need to take them of never to use again... and this will probably be soon..."

(oops somehow I posted the same thing twice? Sorry pod if it happens again pm me)
The robes obviously meant a lot to the man, something Beverley couldn't quite understand. "I guess you will be in black soon enough," he said with a shrug of his broad shoulders.

(hahahaha no prob, haven't even seen it...)
"Black... well... People say it makes you seem thinner..." He smiled. "I was planning to visit the top of the Wall with my little big friend here..." He pointed to Willas. "Would you guide us there? I ain't sure if I know the way..."

"Well it's fairly obvious which way once you're outside," he chuckled. "However now is no time to be going up. There are wildlings and other things attacking us." He shook his head, adding, "And the topof the Wall is no place for the uninitiated during such an attack."
