The largest entrance into Winterfell, upon entry you see the rebuilding of the burned castle and houses. The gate looks up to two towers that protect the gate from any invaders.

The boy looked at the castle before him. He had never seen anything of its like before It happened, but after the Wall everything seemed small and insignificant. Drawing the rags around him more closely, he trudged down the kingsroad, planning to go where man had never even heard of snow, if there was such a land. North lay the doom, and south lay his salvation. Or so he hoped.

Several of Lord Stark's bannermen and their highest ranked men waited for him before the great Hunter's Gate. The bulk of their forces were outside the walls of Winterfell, all men ready to ride or to march north under their Lord's command.
Lorraine emerged behind the Lord, having followed him down to see him off. Even in the fur-trimmed wool gown, she could feel the chill in the air. She shivered, both from cold and at the sight of the army. "So many...there is no way they cannot prevail," she said quietly to herself, feeling heartened.

The Princess stands next to her friend, holding her hand. She is dressed in her wool-lined cloak and boots. She doesn't say anything, but keeps her hand with Lorraine's as she watches the men of Winterfell leave.

Lorraine was glad to have Aelinor at her side. It was comforting to have her friend there. She squeezed her hand. "Thank you, Aelinor. Thank you so much. I hope you will not be bored while we stay in Winterfell."

Aelinor smiled,"I do not plan to be bored.. They have a library, Lorraine." Laying her head on her arm,"They have so many books, you may have to come search for me." She chuckled,"I will be fine."

"A library?" For some reason, she had not thought that there would be many books at Winterfell. The Starks did not strike her as avid readers. "Well you have found your home away from home, Aelinor." Lorraine laughed, smiling despite her distress at the Lord's departure.

She smiled,"Yes I have and Lord Stark's sister showed me where it was." Holding Lorraine's hand,"So if you need to find me,"she smiled again,"That is where I will be."

"He told me to take care of Winterfell in his absence. Will you help me, Aelinor, if I need it?" She watched the men group up, milling around the courtyard and speaking in hushed tones.

"Of course,"Aelinor nodded,"And if they choose not to listen to you now, I am sure Lord Stark will make them sorry upon his return."
She smiled at her,"Do not worry, you will find your voice here."

"I am sure the maester will help me as well... I just worry that I will not do a good job. After all, I have not even spoken to the rest of his siblings, or..." she sighed. "I worry too much, don't I?"
"What do you think of them? The young Starks?"

Wilhelm turns to Lorraine, he takes her in his arms and kisses her passionately. He puts his lips close to her ear. "Do not worry, I will be back soon. Do not miss me too much, my beloved." He says with a smiles before going over and mounting his horse.

Lorraine blushed to be kissed so well in public. "Hurry back to me," she whispered back, then let him go. She watched him mount up, hoping she would not cry. It would be silly if she cried.

He looks around and raises his hand. Giving one final smile to Lorraine before forcefully yelling. "Move out!" And with that Wilhelm and his heavy Calvary Rode out the gate and into the cold.

Lorraine watched them leave, waving until the men were out of sight. When they were gone, and she could no longer even hear the hoof beats of the horses, she went back inside.
The tears were cold on her cheek before she wiped them away.
