"I do intend to compete, my Lady. I have been looking forward to it ever since the wedding was announced, truth be told."
Addressing Arthur, he added to Lorraine's comment. "I'm sure he knew you were talking in jest, Ser. Also, some men just decide to dive back into the bottle, no matter how long they have been sober."
Cedric returned to the Lannister, and thought back to the gardens of the Reach's capitol. "I would still very much like to see the gardens, all the same. Highgarden is known for its beauty, but the flowers have yet to regrow since the Dornish sacking of the city." Cedric was silent for a little while, his mind seemingly elsewhere. 'It would be nice to see such beauty again. Though perhaps I already have."

"I won't drink for a while after today," he shuddered, "If all goes well, though, I'll crown Aelinor the Queen of Love and Beauty."

"I will watch for you in the lists, then, Ser." Her smile faded a bit when he mentioned the sacking of Highgarden. The Riverlands also had yet to heal. "And the Martell Princess was here today although the lands of Highgarden have yet to recover? Shameless of her. I wonder she was even invited."
"Perhaps if you stop drinking, you will become worthy of the Princess Aelinor. Ear or no ear."

Wilhelm walks from the throne down the rug past the group of people talking. He bows his head to the lannister and nods to the other lords present before moving on.

"What's that? Oh, yes, well like I said no more wine. I must bid you two a good night." He nodded to Cedric and kissed Lorraine's hand, then walked out.

"I imagine the King wanted to instill a sense of a unified realm. Peace does no good if we are one insult away from another war. I fear the hour has grown late, Lady Lorraine, and I must retreat to my lodgings. Though I look forward to our trip to the gardens."
Cedric took her hand and parted a small kiss upon it. With that, he retreated from the feast hall to find his bed, as the events of the day had tired him greatly.

First her hand was taken by the Hightower, and then by the Tarly, and then the two men of the Reach left for their lodgings, close on the heels of the Stark. "Go well, Sers, and good night to you."
Lorraine headed toward home herself, her mind drifting between Ser Cedric and the upcoming tourney and the ruins of war that were still scattered across the realm.

Ser Edric ran over to Lord Wilhelm as he saw him about to leave the feast.
"Lord Stark, allow me to accompany you back to the Stark manse. I am heading back to my quarters which are not far from there.
I would also like to graciously accept your proposal to represent the North in the tourney. Although it will be my first joust I will ensure our home gains the honor it deserves."
The two of them walk out of the great doors of the hall together.
