Eliana dashed to the river as fast as she could knowing that her father once he knew it was her would send the dogs after her.

The sands were hot and dark, lights seeming to go no where and the Dunes all seem the same.

Eliana just ran, knowing the general direction and knowing that she would eventually come across it.

Very out of breath Eliana stopped and looked for a boat that might be willing to help her.

On the banks of the river Eliana saw a boat anchored in the water. The sailboat was small, but would serve her purpose. The father and son crew could be seen tugging on the rigging.

Eliana paused, glanced behind her then ran to the bank.
"Excuse me!" She called across to them.

The father, sitting atop the railing, looked over his shoulder and saw the Dayne girl.
"Yes?" he called out.

"Can I please ask where you are going?" She asked. "Im trying to get to the reach and I have no horse to take me there."

"We are hauling our catch of fish to Starfall, and then to Oldtown to buy some supplies. What's it to you?" The old man was obviously a curmudgeon.

"I need to get away from here and need help." She said, sounding upset. "Do you know anyone that would be able to help me?"

The father and son could be seen arguing, but Eliana was too far away to hear their words. Finally, the son called to her.
"We can take you as far as Oldtown, but then I'm afraid we must part ways." The boy, probably barely a teenager, motioned for her to approach the boat as he laid down a long wooden plank that reached the sandy bank.

"Oldtown would be perfect... But I can no longer go to Starfall." She said. "The boy Dayne is the reason that I need to leave and I have no wish to return and see him again so soon."

The two once more began to talk, but Eliana was close eneough. or they were loud enough, for her to make out some of the conversation
"I told... better sales... Oldtown, Father!"
"We've always ... catch in Starfall! My father....his father.... in Starfall!"
"Can't.... this once? She....help!"
The two were silent for a while, before the father finally retreated into the small cabin on the ship's bow. The son finally tuned back to Eliana.
"You can come aboard, miss! We'll be making port in Oldtown, and Oldtown only!" The boy grinned, before returning to his work on the rigging.
