Swishing the water as she rinsed herself,"Yes I know that, but I think I'm almost sure who I want, but I will wait." Rinsing herself again and stepping out she grabs her towel to dry herself, and sits bruhsing her hair. "I still want to continue the trip, just to be sure."
"Lorraine, you can have the servants get you some water so you can take your bath..."Aelinor looked at the horrid water,"I can not let you wash in that."

"Almost sure? You haven't even spoken to half your suitors, and our trip has only just begun." Lorraine laughed. She had begun pulling the laces from her gown, ready to wash herself in the water, which was still quite warm.
"Oh, that is kind of you." She waited for Aelinor to put on a dressing gown, then pulled the cord that summoned the servants. It did not take long for them to come. "Could you change out the water, please? Not so hot this time."

"Yes I said almost", she chuckled, as the laces were tied. She really did not care for the traditional gowns of Westeros but it did keep her warm in this climate. "I really do not want to rush into it, every man that I am to meet is different from myself with different traditions."
Aelinor pulls her hair back,"I do not want them to consider their place to be with me, not just because I am the Royal Princess Aelinor. I am woman the same as any." She looks at herself, tilting her head. "I do feel warmer, then before maybe I should have been wearing these a long time ago?"

The servants changed the water as the two friends spoke. They moved swiftly to accomplish the task, draining the tub down the side of the mountain.
"It must be hard." Lorraine sat down on the bed, watching her friend arrange her hair. "You are first and foremost the princess, and you outrank any one of them. But a marriage is supposed to bring the woman under her husband, or at least to bind two equals. I worry for you. But at the same time I do not."

"There is no need to worry", continuing to primp herself,"Whoever it is I choose, I do not think I will be going back to Kings Landing." She looked at Lorraine,"That is why after I am married you have to be as well. This station is not for you.."

"Not even to fill your post as apprentice to the Master of Coin? I thought you were thrilled at the mere suggestion." She watched the servants leave, then began to eagerly remove her clothes to bathe in the fresh water. "Me? Married?" She was tickled at the thought of marrying again, but at the same time... "I think I have bad luck with weddings. And what kind of husband would I get at two and twenty, once another man's wife, and not even proven to be fertile? Most men want virgins, and after that, sons."
She got into the bath and began furiously soaping her hair.

A knock came to the door. "My Princess, Lord Arryn will see you now." He says from the hallway, making sure not to see anything he would regret.

"Lorraine", she looked out of the window at the birds, skimming in the sky."I love my family and yes that position is all that I could have wanted, but...I have been at Kings Landing all of my life"
"Everything that I know I obtained from a book. I have not set one toe outside of that city until a few days ago." She looked at Lorraine,"Why would I go back when I have experienced being out in the world."
"And yes", she nodded,"You married again. I consider you a friend Lorraine, I can not have you doing this forever. If someone will love you, everything else doesn't matter. I want happiness for you, not to be a .... A glorified servant to a royal woman." Her face serious as she looked at her.
She hear the knock at the door,"I am coming yes, thank you."

Lorraine surfaced, wiping the water from her eyes. She took a towel from the sideboard and got out of the water, scrubbed and clean. "I suppose since I have traveled, even just between banners in my father's lands and King's Landing, it is not as special to me. Though the Eyrie is beautiful, and I cannot wait to see Winterfell, I suppose I have still experienced more. Maybe after your marriage, you will find a post better than the one your father offered."
She heard the servant's knock. "You are summoned, it seems."
"Don't worry about me. I serve you because you are my friend and it pleases me to do so." She smiled. "But if you wish me to marry again, perhaps I will cast my eye around and see what I see."

"Yes, I will go with the servant", she smiled,"I think it would be in bad taste to keep the our host waiting."
"But yes Lorraine, I want you to", Aelinor looked at her before touching the handle,"And I want this because you are my friend as well." The princess smiled at her and then followed the servant to Lord Arryn was waiting for her.

Lorraine smiled and waved as Aelinor left to join Lord Arryn. "Good luck, and I will think about this prospect of marriage."
She was left alone now, and took the time to dry and dress herself leisurely, in one of the nicer dresses she had brought along. Out of King's Landing and away from the Lannisters, she chose Tully blue instead of red. It suited her better, she thought, as she combed the water from her hair and braided it. When she finished, she sat on the bed. What would she do? Just wait til Aelinor came back? Oh, that could take hours.
She got up, pulled the bell for the servants, asking them to clean the tub for the last time that night. As they streamed in, she thanked them, and slipped into the hallway to see the Eyrie for herself.

///// Aelinor entered the room, closing the door. She sat on the bed. Smiling at the necklace,"I wonder where Lorraine is?" Shrugging she continued to look at the necklace.

Lorraine hurried up the steps to the maiden's tower until she reached the highest point. She opened the door, breathing hard from her exertion, and closing it behind her silently. She went to the mirror to comb out her windblown hair, her cheeks still pink with chill. In the mirror she saw the Princess. "Aelinor! I didn't see you!"

"Oh, I only ran up the stairs. I had hoped to get back before you did. How was your dinner?" Lorraine took her cloak from her shoulders and hung it back on the peg. She had given Stark his before she ran to find Aelinor. "Did it go well with Aldric?"
