Arrived in King's Landing fortnight ago. Years of war and suffering have not improved. Living Conditions, Corruption worse than ever. This city is dying, and the Red Keep is full of hungry crows. This proves my point, but makes task even more pertinent. Running out of time.

The Unburnt. A Stark coming out of fire unscathed. Only one family in the history of Westeros has ever been able to survive a fire like that unscathed, and they own 2 dragons. A bastard then? An affair far back down the line? Nothing is certain but this: Willem Stark has Targaryen blood.
Time to check out some geneologies.

My brother. Apparently, he got into some trouble during the dragon's wedding. Still the same dumb bull that I remember. I checked out his room recently. More then 21 different woman, and innumerable whores. Arthur has been busy.
(Below is a record of all his weapon orders, and the various woman he keeps)

Unfortunately, Lineages of the Great Houses was taken by the princess. Why would she need it? Investigating Stark herself maybe? At any rate, I can't look into The Unburnt right now, and after taking a peek into Podrick Baelish's letters, I seem to be invited to a wedding. If important lords are there, or the King, it will certainly be worth going to. Leaving at dawn.

They say a man called The Heretic lives in the Kingswood, and that he fights the Seven with a band of outlaws. If his men are as competent as they say, perhaps I could use his help. Breaking into guarded buildings on my own is not a good prospect.

Writing this from the deck of The Swan, headed towards The Fingers from Saltpans. Last night, arrived at Crossroads Inn. Willhem Stark was there, and so was Princess Aelinor. Stupidly, tried to get him to listen to warnings. He pinned me against a wall and nearly cut my throat. Of course, night wasn't without good things. A man, a northerner seems to know the same things I do. Not going in the same direction that I am, but still, nice to know I'm not alone.

Again, writing this from cabin of a ship. Wedding was a relative disappointment. No important new pieces of information gathered, but small ones I will inscribe here.
Firstly: That Podrick Baelish knows my brother well enough to laugh at joke about intelligence.
Second: Baelish isn't happy about taking out the mountain clans. Not much, but it means that he isn't unnecessarily cruel.
Baelish also will not be joining into my plots. As I suspected all along, he is too crafty and too self-serving to be trusted. I will need to find another skilled at intrigue.

Back in King's Landing this morning. Sent raven to The Thief. Unlikely he will come. And if he does, I should not trust him. His only loyalty is to his pocket, but I need a forger if I'm even going to have a chance at this.

From now on, will write messages in code. Can't afford to have the wrong people know what's in here.
Plan going smoothly, for now. Easy for someone to turn it awry, and there's no guarantee that someone with a bigger purse won't turn The Thief while I'm gone. Going South. To Oldtown, and all of my enemies. My Father, and worse, The Archmaesters. I hope what I gain here will be worth all the danger.
(From this entry onwards, The Journal is in code)
