"Well I had assumed I could share yours?" she finished quietly.

The princess raised her hood as the stranger passed by them. She may have been young and naive about somethings, but this stranger made her uneasy.
She saw as Ladybright kicked the house, but she remained silent amd just watched everything from under her hood. After seeing the stranger leave, she looked at Lorraine and Lord Stark. "I am sorry my friends, but I will retire to the carriage." She looked at Ladybright for him to follow her. Aelinor looked back with a smile,"Again, I will be fine... You two get better acquainted." She walked to carriage, with her huge cloak that almost swallowed her small frame.

As the stranger leaves Ladybright returns to the princess, making sure she was alright. After all he has protected her all her life.

"Well, that would do nicely." She smiled a little, displeased that he hadn't correctly understood her meaning. "I will return in a moment. I'd like to spend a bit of time with Aelinor before sleeping." She kissed his cheek, on tiptoe, then turned to Aelinor with a big grin plastered on her face.
She sped up her pace to follow Aelinor back to the carriage. "Will you be lonely? I can comb your hair before bed if you like."

Smiling at her friend,"This one time, yes..." Looking back at Lord Stark with a smile, then at her,"But after we arrive at Winterfell, you will not be required to tend to me."
Taking her hand,"But we do have much to talk about before then."

Lorraine smiled at her friend. "I don't do this because I am required to, Aelinor." She opened the door to the carriage, letting Aelinor enter it and then following her inside. She opened the wooden box that held the Princess' things and dug out the hairbrush. "What did you want to talk about?"

She sat still and thought of what she wanted to say. "Well... I have been watching you and Lord Stark." She smiled,"And since we will be staying in Winterfell while he is gone, I was wondering if I should even continue the trip?"
Aelinor looked at Lorraine,"Maybe with all of the signs the Gods have been throwing at me as of late. I think I should just choose who I want now and be done with it."
The princess turned back around."I do not want to tempt fate or the Gods."
"But what do you think Lorraine? What should I do?"

Lorraine began unplaiting Aelinor's hair so she could brush the tangles out. "And who would you choose, Lord Arryn? He is the only suitor you have met. If you would be content with that choice, then by all means, end the journey in Winterfell. He is very handsome, after all."
She worked on a particularly gnarly tangle. "I think you should wait to decide. We will be in Winterfell for quite awhile, I presume, while Lord Stark aids the Knights Watch. Make your decision when he returns."

Thinking,"Well..."Aelinor winced as Lorraine worked through the tangle. "Lord Stark does have a brother."
"I believe it would be fair to Lord Arryn., some competition..." She smiled,"Don't you think?"

((OMG AELINOR IM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU D:))
"He does, at that. I hear he is your age," observed Lorraine, finally taming the snarl of silvery hair. "But would your father be pleased if your choice was a second son, while your lady and bedmaid married the Lord? I do think Arryn needs some competition, though. I do not think he would be pleased to have merely won by default."

(LOL, same here!!!)
"But what my father likes is not why he sent me out here." She sighed in relief as the tangled part of her hair was managed. "He sent me to find a husband." She the looked at Lorraine,"And you being with Lord Stark was the will of the Gods,"Aelinor smiled,"and I am so very happy for you, my dear friend."

((I've been missing rp with you...you must be very busy!))
Lorraine went over her long hair one last time, making sure everything was perfect, before putting the brush away and plaiting the silver locks for bedtime. "I am sure you will find one who values you and would do anything for you. I simply worry that your father may disapprove." She sighed. "He did say he wanted you to find love, though, so as long as you aren't swept head over heels by the potboy, I am sure it will all turn out well enough."
As she finished with Aelinor's hair, she began on her own. "I am glad. You will be one of my maids at the wedding, won't you?" She giggled at the thought of being a bride again. "I can barely believe it, Aelinor! Me!"

(Uber busy and just as tired)
The princess laughed at the reference to the potboy. "No, I fully understand but as you say I should have someone who values me." Touching her hair after Lorraine finishes,"And.. I will have him."
She then smiled,"Of course, I will stand with you when you wedding day comes. I would not miss it for anything."
Nodding at her statement. "Why not you? Lorraine, you are beautiful, smart and deserve this... He is a very good fit for you and I can feel that he will take care of you and give everything you desire."
She continued to smile,"You deserve this and I do not want you to think otherwise on the subject."

((eek, sorry try to get more sleep if you can!)) "I am sure you will! Who could resist you, Aelinor? Even if you were not the princess, I am sure you would have men lining up from across the kingdom!" Lorraine finished dragging the brush through her thick auburn hair. "I am coming to agree with you, though it is still all terribly new to me. I can almost forget I am only a second son's widow when I am near him." She did not plait her hair, instead leaving it free to tumble about her shoulders. She slipped out of her riding dress, changing into her nightshift and adding the morning robe over it, to be more presentable. Pinching a pinkness into her cheeks and biting her lips until they were red and full, she turned to the princess with a look of excitement. "How do I look, Aelinor?"
