Renowned architect Alexander Michael is behind Sky Ridge, the four-bedroom Kangaroo Valley home made from shipping containers, has impeccable finishes, solar panels and is completely self-sufficient. It is designed to have minimal impact on the environment and is not dependent on the electrical grid. Built of steel, glass and concrete, with a decoration inspired by industrial lofts, this ecological house runs on solar energy. Four containers with bright yellow doors have also been used. Located on a secluded hectare Phone Number List plot, accessed by a road, this property also has photovoltaic solar panels , a battery bank and a rainwater collection system. The property is ideally located in one of the most beautiful areas of Sydney, in the southern highlands of New South Wales. The ground floor has an open layout with a black and chrome kitchen, a large living room and two slow-burning fireplaces. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and glass windows allow for stunning countryside views from three sides of the home. This floor also has an atrium-shaped roof that reveals the roof beams and the corrugated iron roof.
