Background -
Born as the 2nd son to Lord Eddard Reed of Greywater Watch, Edric was sent to be fostered by Lord Brandon Stark in Winterfell when he was 8.
Being trained by the Castellan of Winterfell was a tough life for the small-sized Edric as he struggled wielding the larger weapons. The Smith took note of this one day after watching Edric stumble to the ground trying to swing a broad sword. He had two small short swords forged as a gift to the young warrior and with the help of the Castellan, Edric quickly became a master in the art of dual-wielding. No other novice in the castle could beat Edric in a melee competition. This is when his dream of becoming a member of the Kingsguard began.
During the War of the Seven and Fire Edric squired for a knight of the Crownlands named Ser Aemon. During the Battle of Winterfell Edric noticed Lord Brandon trapped between half a dozen Red Priests and a swath of burning trees. He quickly worked his way through the priests, slashing and stabbing faster than anyone had seen with his double blades. Lord Brandon's son, Wilhelm, rushed into the Godswood to save his father; alas he was too late. But what a sight to see Wilhelm emerging from the flames, totally unburnt, with the body of his Lord father! Edric screamed "WILHELM THE UNBURNED!"
For this great feat, Edric was knighted by Ser Aemon, becoming one of only a handful of knights who hail from the north. And as thanks for helping the new Lord of Winterfell retrieve his father's body, Wilhelm gave him the honorary title of "The Wolf of the Marsh", essentially making him a Stark in spirit.
As news of Edric's feat spread throughout the Seven Kingdoms, a raven arrived at Winterfell from King's Landing. The Commander of the Gold Cloaks was offering Edric a position as an assistant to the Master-at-Arms of the Gold Cloaks to help train the new recruits. Though training was never a job Edric had much stomach for, he saw this as a great first step to making his dream of joining the Kingsguard come to fruition. So he and Ser Aemon traveled back to King's Landing to accept his new role accompanied by Lord Wilhelm and his retinue who were travelling to King's Landing for the wedding.
Appearance - Small in stature but surprisingly strong and agile. He has short, dark brown hair and green eyes. Edric has a small scar on his left cheek, a wound from training with a great sword which proved too clunky and large for him to handle.
Reputation - Little is known about the Reeds of Greywater, the same was true for Edric. That is until he gained his glory during the Battle of Winterfell. His name is known throughout the realm as a noble man and a strong, unrelenting fighter. His dual short sword fighting style is unique to him and this makes him a force to be reckoned with during tourney melees. Edric is known amongst his close friends as a man of virtue and a trusted friend.
