Okay for a fight it is all predetermined by the rolls however there are different types of fights with different outcomes.
The bonuses for skills are listed here
Beginner: 40 Novice: 50 Apprentice: 60 Noteworthy: 70 Expert: 80 Master: 90 Grandmaster: 100
The diffrent types of fights are, Practice, Dueling, and battles
Practice is normally done with tourney blades or dull blades that do not harm or cause cuts.
The rules for Practice go as followed:
5 points over roll is a Small Hit 15 points over roll is a Medium Hit 30 points over roll is a Heavy Hit or Knockout
Duels are the second type of fights and there are two kings, to the death and well...not.
For not to the death the rules are as followed
10 points over is a Small Wound 30 points over is a Medium Wound 50 points over is a Heavy Wound or Knockout 70 points over could result in a permanent wound and Knockout 125 points over results in Death
For the Death Duels they are similar rules but adding the chance of death to higher possibility.
10 points over is a Small Wound 30 points over is a Medium Wound 50 points over is a Heavy Wound or Knockout 75 points over is a Permanent Wound and you yield to your rival for judgement 100 points over results in death.
Lastly there are battles, this is where you will need to not only give your personal information such as sword horse, and/or animal handling. But you will need to give your leadership and battle/naval command and how many troops you have called. All these rolls will make the outcome of the battle and if you and your men are taken hostage or not.
