Aelinor entered her chambers, already peeling out of the gown from the wedding. She closed the door, laying the dress across the nearest chair, she sat on her bed. "Father thinks I study too much, but why?" Dragging her book across the covers, she opened it scanning the pages.
"I only want to know all there is, so that I can help him." She sighed, undressed and put on her night apparel and snuggled under the warm covers. Her book still in her hand,"And out of all those single men, I only get approached by a drunkard..' Aelinor laughed out loud to herself and began to read again.

"My Lady Princess Aelinor..." An elderly voice came with a knock.

She put the book down, looking at the door,"Yes, come in." Aelinor sat up on her many pillows, her hands in her lap.

The Grand Maester enters. "Princess would you like me to give you the books you requested?" He asks with a smile.

She smiled,"Oh of course, please...." She scrambled out of her covers to meet him with the books. "Do you have them all?"

He nods. "Yes the history of your family is vast, I must say it is glad for a woman like yourself princess to be so fascinated by knowledge." The Grand Maester smiles.

"I can't help it", she said, smiling,"It's just so fascinating.. Even the tradition of the sibling marriages to keep the blood pure,our eyes and even..." She looked at him,"Even the potential of madness..'
Flipping through the book,"It's just all so.. fascinating.."

Aelinor nodded, still reading the passages. She then paused and looked at the Maester,"Do you think I should stop doing this and start preparing myself for marriage?"
Smiling lightly,"Father thinks I need to start and to stop keeping my nose in so many books."

"I do not think he cares that you read. I think he wants you to stark looking more at men then at books." He states.

Sighing deeply,"But I don't know any personally. I only know them by titles." Looking at the Maester,"I would follow tradition but... I do not have another sibling to wed..."
"And then the only person, that even showed any interest at all was a drunkard", she chuckled, closing the book,"He doesn't want me to become a spinster..."
"..But if I can not find anyone, why can I not become a Maester?"

"The rules are clear, Princess Women can not forge the chains." He said sadly. "And true you may not know any personally but that does require you to approach one, being daughter of the queen can be intimidating." He says.
