"Is something happening?" asked Aymery worriedly, pulling his palfrey around in a circle. "Arthur...?"

"Bloody hell, boy, stay down. The seven hells are going to break loose." Arthur knew a fight was coming. His horse knew too. "Aym, boy, when they come, you ride hard boy! Ride possessed, that's a bloody fast horse I bought you." Images flashed through his mind: A fortress, soldiers of stars, a white sword, and a fallen knight.

"You want me to run away?! Arthur, what kind of knight will I be if I just ride off?"

"Just listen, boy! Seven bloody hells! I don't want you to die, okay? You're not a seasoned fighter like Cedric and I. If one gets in your way, you ride that bastard down." Arthur said, trying not to yell.

Really worried now, Aymery agreed. If Arthur was this concerned...there had to be a reason. "I will. Will you ride back to find me when its all done?"

"Aye, if I'm not dead." Arthur spoke quietly

Aymery was sobered as Arthur spoke of death. "That won't happen. It won't!"

/////////////////
Cedric watched as the bandits fled with their tales between their legs. Slowly, he became more and more aware of a throbbing pain in his leg. Looking down, he saw that muscle had been sliced away from bone. Falling to the ground, he grasped his leg in agony, trying to stop the bleeding as best he could.

Arthur looked wistfully at the woods, "Aym..." he shook himself and turned. Cedric's leg didn't look good, his leg sliced open. He scooped him up and carried him into the grass. "I patched my own ear at Starfall, before I got to a maester. I lost a lot more blood than you, then. I can patch you up, good as new, but after I see you safe. I'm raising an army and I'm getting my boy back."
Arthur made a fire and pulled out his medical supplies and set to work.
(Roll for patching up Cedric a bit, please Other?)

Arthur tried to patch him up, but if anything made it worse. He needs a maester, he thought. "I can't take the road for fear of ambush," he looked towards Blackwater Bay, "I need a boat." He tied several clothes around Cedric's wound. He tied him to his horse and took off for King's Landing.

Cedric grunted as he swung his leg over the horse. He did not look at his leg, for fear of fainting.

/////// Bryden left Kings Landing in the darkness of the night, only leaving his father with a scribble of a note:
Brynden wished he had taken a horse, but he was already on the road and coming to the forest. He leaned against the nearest tree, rested his hand upon the hilt of his heavy longsword he had taken and closed his eyes.

An arrow flies though the air and lands in front of Bryden's feet. A warning shot.
