He looks to her, "So Lorraine, you wished to speak to me. I am not that much of a mystery."

"You are still uncharted waters, my lord." She followed, a few steps behind, the cloaks trailing in the loamy soil. "You should tell me about yourself. Anything you choose; your past, your present, your hopes for the future."

"Have you heard the tales? Of the day I became Lord Stark?" He asks her.

"I have heard, but only whispers. It was the day Winterfell burned, was it not? You must miss your father. What was he like?"

"They say the Old Gods blessed me, the flames and charr touched my skin...and nothing happened other then heat...not burning...not peeling...I came out untouched, I do miss my father, he was a tough man but fair. Now he has left me to be lord of Winterfell, I hope to make him proud." He states smiling slightly looking to Lorraine.

"The Old Gods...I must admit I have never been religious, but your story would almost lead one to believe in those gods of the north." She bent down and took a smooth stone from the water of the pond. She rolled it in her hands. "I am sure you will make him very proud. You seem to be a man of honor." She skipped the rock over the ponds surface, one skip and it sank.

"Who does not appreciate a man who honors his words and keeps his promises? Such a person I would not like to meet."

"Well when you are around me, I can swear to you that no man should ever dishonor you." He states to her looking down at her.

"Do you think I am in danger of that? Usually I am the Princess' shadow. Only recently have I caught the eye of any man." She found another smooth and flat stone, and held it out to the Lord Stark.

"No, however that fact does not matter, I do not wish to loose anyone else. I will make sure that I do not the best I can." He states taking the rock from her hand looking at it.

Their fingertips touched as she passed him the stone. "Have you ever skipped stones? You should try. Make it dance across the water." She wondered what he meant. Of course he would be afraid of losing those dear to him. The woman he was to marry, his father, even Winterfell had suffered.

He presses the stone up to his lips, "The Gods of Stone have granted me their blessing to rebuild Winterfell, I could not attempt such." He smiles very lightly to her before handing back the stone.

Are there such gods as gods of stone?, she wondered to herself. She looked at the stone. It was smooth and perfectly flat, the best kind to skip across the water. She slipped it into a pocket, though. Perhaps it was best to save it, after all.
"What do you do, then, other than work on rebuilding your castle? For amusement, I mean?"

He takes a sigh. "I part from teaching my sisters and brothers....I rarely have time for amusement, you have given me some back since I have been here." He states.
