"I am glad to have amused you, my lord," she murmured, thinking he spoke in jest.
"Have you many brothers and sisters, then? I have four, but they are all twice my age at least. I should like to meet them someday. I love children."

"I am the eldest of six, however my eldest sister is married to house Mormont. The others await the day they can get married, and my brother wishes the day he can beat me in melee." The first time he gives a small chukle. "And yes, I too would like children..." He says softly.

A smile spread across Lorraine's face as she heard the small chuckle escape Stark's throat. "What is so funny? Do you think your brother will never beat you in a melee? Or is it the thought of having children of your own?"

"Though all of this.." He crosses his arms. "No, honestly I have not, I do not know if anyone could care enough for the Iceheart of the North." He smiles to her.

"You never have? But a Lord must continue his line!" She couldn't help but smile when he did. "But you don't seem so ice-hearted to me. I am sure those who say such things of you have never spent time speaking to you."

"You are not thinking of it from the standpoint of a suitor. As a friend you see me not as harsh, but if we were courting, would you feel the same?" He asks her looking into her blue eyes.

"I believe I would. But we are not courting." She looked away from him, at the pond. A frog croaked, long and low.

"But there is more to that statement is there not?" He asks, as she looked away, crouches down touching the ponds waters.

He lightly sighs, looking out to the calm water. "The one you just said. You ended it quickly, as if to avoid embarrassment." He states keeping his eyes straight. "You have no need to be embarrassed around me."

"I was only...well the Princess is the one you must court." She looked at the wall of trees around them. "We should be getting back." She ran her hands through the fur of his cloak, still clasped around her shoulders.

"Should I? What about you, what do you want?" He asks again looking into the rocks then up at the sky before standing up to look at her.

"I want to..." Lorraine me his dark eyes, then forced her gaze away. "It doesn't matter what I want. She is my princess and my friend..."

"She is your friend, but you have wants too. She could have anyone she wanted, probably one much younger, I am reaching Thirty, Loraine, and shes not even twenty." He states continuing to look at her.
