"Thank you, my lord. I will do my best to fear less in the future." She managed a smile. "And I will remind myself of the fact that the farther north we ride, the further from court we will be."

"I think you will like the north...less politics and more pratical lifestyles....the weather is a small sacrifice to bear." He smiles

"I am not sure that I will miss King's Landing as much as I thought." She met his smile with another of her own.

"And the Princess? Your friend after all, would you missed her...if you were put in a position to stay?" He asked her.

"I would miss her..." She looked at him sidelong. "Are you inviting me to stay, my lord? We have not even arrived yet."

He smiles. "You love to jump to conclusions, do you not Lorraine? I am perhaps acting too soon, working on outcomes of dreams not accomplished yet."

"Do you think so? I try to understand what is said, no more." She went silent, watching the men ride around them. "Tell me more of your son, and of your brothers and sisters."

"And what do you wish to know, I have one brother of Nine and Ten, one of One and Ten. My sisters....well they probably would not like me discussing their ages with someone they are soon to meet." He smiles

Post by Princess Aelinor Targaryen on Sept 3, 2012 9:51:16 GMT -5
Aelinor puts away her journal and grabs the book of family geneologies the Grand Maester let her take. Thumbing through the great houses, she stopped on House Arryn. Reading the lines of the names,"Robert Arryn, son of Jon Arryn (Hand to King Robert Baratheon)." She paused,"That is the house which shares our bloodlines, distantly." She closed the book, sighing then whispered,"Usurper. Thank the gods we are at peace now and my good Kingfather is no madman."
Placing the large book back and she closed her eyes, her fingers rubbed the eagle necklace as she drifted to sleep.

"They cannot be so old as that, to have you hiding their ages! That is for spinsters and women above thirty, who wish to conceal that they are growing gracefully older." She smirked, amused. "And what do they like? Do they play at war and with dolls?"

"Well my eldest brother, he would like Alienor he is rather fond of smart women. My youngest brother...he wants to be like me, however he is still young and full with desires of glory and battle." He says glad shes assumed. "My Eldest sister, she is married to a Mormont and is in Bear Island most of the time. My middle sister she often likes to hunt, and shoot arrows, drives the septa crazy but my youngest sister...she desires nothing more to be a lady." He laughs at that.

Edric let off the reins a bit and slipped back towards Wilhelm and Lady Lorraine, leaving his mean to lead the convoy up the Kings Road.
Edric nods to them both, "Lady Lorraine, happy to be back in the saddle, I presume?"
Turning to Wilhelm, "And Wilhelm, my apologies for not meeting with you in the Eyrie. The men kept me busy, and as you can see, our stay was quite brief."

He nods with a light smile. "Do not worry, I must admit I was a little swept away and did not have the chance to search for you. How did the tournament go?" He asks Edric

Edric grins, still proud of his accomplishment in the tourney, "As expected. My performance in the joust was nothing to take pride in, however, I did win the melee. The Princess granted me this incredible set of armor for my victory. Speaking of which, my purse winnings. I've used a small portion to purchase a horse from the Tarly stables. I'd like to donate the rest to the rebuilding of Winterfell, if you would accept, Wilhelm."

"Has he met many smart women in the north?" She looked amused. "Your siblings sound wonderful, my lord."
Lorraine smiled and nodded at Edric as he slowed his horse to ride alongside them. "I have not really been out of it much, to tell you the truth." She looked back at Stark. "He rode very well. All the women of Kings Landing were swooning after him." To Edric, she said, "I still have the wooden swords, but they are in my rooms back in the capitol."
