Proudly Aelinor nodded,"Yes I did." She looked herself over,"I don't see why not, there is nothing wrong with my hands. Next I will be brushing my own hair." She smiled at Lorraine,"It is only fitting, I am not helpless, just privileged."

Lorraine sighed. "I know you are capable, but I enjoyed doing those things for you. I never saw them as arduous or servile, only...a kindness for a friend of higher rank than me." She shrugged, aware that things were changing...faster than she would prefer, but it was out of her hands. "Shall we go then? I would not like to keep anyone waiting longer than necessary."

"I know, but I have to adjust. Things are changing for both of us,"she smiled,"I do not think you would venture from Winterfell just to brush my hair."
"And I have always considered them a kindess, but you will be Lady Stark soon,"she looked at her,"It is my time to grow up, to be ready and you have done good by me.' Then Aelinor nodded,"Yes we should get on our way then." She walked to her horse, and climbed into the saddle, she was more confident this time.

Wilhelm stands out side, looking over a map of the north, plotting the path forward. "Alright....I will escort them to Winterfell, I will need you to meet me in a week time...the troops should be ready by then. Gather the rest of the northern calvary." He looks to the heavy riders.

It was finally beginning to sink in. The last night especially...it had really pounded the idea into her. She would be at Winterfell from now on, and her life would be very different. And Aelinor would be somewhere far away. In Kings Landing, or in the Eyrie, or wherever she found what she was looking for. Lorraine was still lost in thought as she mounted her horse, wincing a little as she found her place in the saddle. She quickly shot a smile to Aelinor as a way of denying that there was anything the matter. "I think you are ready for anything. If you haven't seen a thing first hand, you have read a book about it." She laughed. "You know too much for your own good."

Watching her friend,"Yes that is true",she smiled,"you can blame the Grand Maester for that."
Grabbing her reins,"Most of my knowledge lately has not come from a book."

"That is true. You have seen quite a bit since we left the capitol. Was there something that stood out in particular?" Lorraine, too, took up the reins of her horse, guiding him into a slow walk. The tents that had studded the campground the night before had melted away, and the wayns were heavily laden once again. It seemed that departure was imminent.

Stark walks up to Lorraine, when his men leave, he takes her hand. "Will you be alright? Do you want me to ride with you if its too uncomfortable?" He asks her honestly.

Lorraine appreciated his concern, but did not appreciate how candid he was being, in front of Aelinor and all the men. "I'll be fine, I'm sure!" Now she really had to hide any discomfort she might feel...

He nods to her, mounting his own horse. "I will take the lead then." He says quickly moving to the front.

"Oh....alright," she said, watching him ride to the front of the line. She had hoped he would stay back, and ride alongside Aelinor and herself, but if he felt he needed to ride in the fore, so be it. She glanced at Aelinor, hoping the princess didn't catch on to her disappointment.

He turns to smile to Lorraine, overall he was happy, something he has not felt in a long time.

She brightened noticeably, relieved that he wasn't upset with her. She smiled back, wondering what it would be like to see his face every morning for the rest of her life. She decided that would be something she would like very much.

A couple hours pass, you have passed the neck and are officially in the north.

She rode alongside Aelinor for hours, making light conversation about the scenery and laughing about old times. All along, she could see Stark's back, dark among the lighter colors of the disguised gold cloaks and other southern men. She chewed her lip, and decided to ride forth and meet him. "Excuse me, Aelinor," she said, nodding to her friend. "I'll ride back in a moment."
Urging her horse into a trot, she rode up alongside him, hailing him from behind. "My Lord!"
