"It must be you, my dear," Lavinia said to Lorraine, evidently in denial. She looked at both of the girls and put on her biggest fake smile. "I do not mean to, well, brag but surely the two of you would agree that I am amongst the most beautiful in Westeros?"

Lorraine bit her lip, tempted to call out the boldfaced lie. Perhaps Lavinia once was the most beautiful girl in Westeros, but now she could only be the prettiest pig at the county fair. She didn't want to hurt the girl's feelings, though, so she didn't. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," she said, hoping it would be a nice, neutral phrase.

Aelinor looked at Lorraine in unbelief, then she smiled knowing that she was taught to respect other and be diplomatic in her decisions,"I agree... Standing this room are three of the most beautiful women in Westeros."
She then looked at Lorraine,"And I think we all should be going to the Tourney Grounds, I am sure my father will be looking for me shortly." She smiled again at the portly princess,"Excuse me, Princess", and headed for the door.

Lavinia gave a little wave to the princess. "Perhaps I shall join you later," Before turning to Lorraine. "And I believe the beholder judges me fairest," She gave a laugh which almost sounded like an oinking pig.

Lorraine forced a smile to her face. "I am sure. Now, perhaps you should be on your way to the tourney. It might take you awhile to waddle...I mean walk... there."

"Waddle?" Lavinia asked, her smile quickly turning into an ugly sneer. "What do you mean waddle? I strut, unlike some little... cows." She pouted self-importantly.

"My dear Princess, there are no cows present, only one pig."

"Pig!?" Lavinia asked, turning her nose up at Lorraine and pushing her chest out. "Why ever would you call me a pig!?"

Lorraine shook her head. If the Princess was so completely in the dark, perhaps it was not Lorraine's place to enlighten her. "I haven't the slightest, Princess. Perhaps you should go, though."
The porter preemptively opened the front door a crack, letting sunlight stream in. He was most amused.

Lavinia paused, before the sneer was replaced by a honey-sweet smile. "I am sorry, I misspoke... I should not have called you a cow." She gave a slight nod. "But I do wish to know why... do I really look like a pig?"

Lorraine was unsure of how to answer. She had caught the sneer as it passed over Lavinia's features, only to be replaced by a simper. "Ah...perhaps the color of your gown is not so becoming as you thought."

"But pigs are pink and this gown is purple," Lavinia said, looking down at herself. "Maybe I should wear more revealing dresses?" She seemed not be aware that she was almost spilling out in all places.

Lorraine sighed. She couldn't leave this pile of blubber in delusion any longer. "Princess Lavinia...you have doubled in size since yesterday. Perhaps its that basket of lemon cakes you keep munching from, or perhaps its something else, but your clothes don't fit at all anymore. Aelinor was trying to tell you earlier, but we didn't know how to break the news." She held out a small mirror. "See for yourself."
