The Bronze knight nods and turns. "Open the Gate!"
The large doors begin to open slowly.

Edric had read a lot about the passage up to the castle, how awe-inspiring it could be, but also how treacherous at times.
"Keep your wits about you Princess, the path is long and hard. We will follow the High Road to the Gate of the Moon."

She nodded, knowing that her riding experience was for lack of a better word, beginner. Aelinor looked over the land as they rode slowly up the path.

"No mountains like these in the neck. Only swamp and marsh and more swamp. I can see why the Arryns rarely leave." He said, admiring the view.

"I can understand as well", Aelinor blinked at the view of the massive mountains. The wind whipping at her hood and cloak,"It is a beautiful sight, but there is a reason to leave sometime?"
She began to have that guilded cage feeling again as the continued up the trail.

Edric nodded to the Princess.
"Of course, your Grace. Travel is good for the soul. Myself, I barely made it out of the North during my training. But even exploring the various holdings there was exciting enough. I am pleased to be accompanying you on your trip." He grinned.

"This is the first time off of my homelands as well." The northman said quietly. He had come up unnoticed by the two of them. "What type of beasts hunt in these lands?"

"As am I",she nodded with a smile,"I never knew the men who served my father, only that I saw you from time to time."
"And yes, travel is very good for the soul. I now see that I should have ventured outside of Kings Landing long ago."

Edric bowed his head "It is a great honor to serve your family, my Princess. An even greater honor to have made your acquaintence now."
He turned to Felric who had approached from the rear of the group.
"Mostly shadowcats and mountain goats, I believe. Though you're as likely to find an angry tribesman should you venture too far."

Aelinor raised her eyesbrows,"Truly a shadowcat? That would be something to see...' She looked at Felric,"I see you are sticking to you promise." She smiled,"And Ser Edric, I would be honored if you would remain, if I happen to venture off again."

Edric lifted his head up and smiled, "I would leap at the opportunity, your Grace. Though, I fear there won't be much of Westeros for you to explore once we finish this journey."

"Well..."she thought,"We we could always go to Dorne." Aelinor smiled thinking of the warm sun and hot air of the Dornish lands.
"I would like to try that Dornish Red again.."

"Dorne would be a very interesting. I'm not sure my northern blood could take that heat though, ha! Speaking of Dorne though, has any news arrived of the Dornish Princess? She has been missing for quite some time now."

"It's just a little more sun than Kings Landing, I'm sure,"she smiled. "And no I haven't heard anything regarding her since the disappearance. Or I have not heard father say anything before we left."
