Dismounting his horse, Felric strung his weirwood bow and picked out 3 arrows to take with him. Tying the reins to the the baggage train, he set off into the Vale, intent on finding a fabled shadowcat.

Lorraine rode up alongside Aelinor. She had been in the rear, talking to her half brother Ser Brynden. "So we are almost there, Aelinor. What do you think of this place?"

"It's cold here.."Aelinor looked at her, shivering lightly, pulling her cloak closer,"And because of it's seclusion, it almost reminds me of Kings Landing.." She then looked at he mountains,"But it is quite beautiful."

"Cold, but not so cold as last winter." Lorraine wore a thick cloak, edged in fur. The hood was up around her face, sheilding her ears from the chill air, but her nose and cheeks were pink from the sharp air. "The mountains are incredible...imagine the view from the top of them!"

In his hunt, Felric had actually trekked ahead of his party. Watching the slow moving horses pick their way through the rocky countryside, he waited and contemplated the animal before him. Over large paws... yet the size of full grown hound already. A full grown shadowcat would be terrible to behold. He smiled. Exactly what he wanted.

"Yes it would be incredible",Aelinor adjusted her hood again, her pale skin also turning the slight pinkish tint from the air,"I think I have on enough clothes, but it is still cold. And last winter?"
Smiling,"Lorraine, I live in Kings Landing, it doesn't get that cold there. This is something new for me."

"I know, but in the Riverlands it does get fairly cold. I remember ice skating when I was a child...I think I miss doing those things." She flashed Aelinor a bright smile. "Perhaps I can teach you to ice skate if its cold enough up north! I am sure you would love it."

Aelinor smiled again,"I would like that." She never believed in a million lifetimes that she would even be this far from Kings Landing, and now to have a talk about iceskating in the Riverlands. "I am sure my father knew what he was doing when he sent out here."
"It wasn't just to find a suitor, it was to see some part of the kingdom as well."

"Even if none of the men we meet suit you, it will still be beneficial to travel Westeros. Do you think you will be on the council permanently? Would your brother and sister allow you to take that role?" Lorraine had no political aspirations of her own, not really, but she knew her friend took a great interest in the workings of the kingdom. She was pleased and excited that Aelinor would have a chance to study under the master of coin.
She noticed Felric up ahead. "Master Crowl, what have you there?" she called out to him.

Shrugging,"The decision is not up to them, Father is still king and until he say otherwise then yes I will be on the council."
"That was our agreement." She too then noticed Felric ahead of them,"Last I saw of him, he ran off to hunt."

"I am sure they would allow you, if you had proven yourself." She thought about it. It would surely affect the girl more than she thought, if she had the position, and then it was taken away on her father's death. He was older, but not without vitality and strength. However, Lorraine knew how suddenly death could come.
"Perhaps he has shot something, then. Lets join him!" She urged her horse into a faster pace, and came up behind Felric.

"A small cat, and a good meal." Felric shouted back as he slung the animals over his shoulders. Walking to the horses, he rigged the animals to his horse. Walking alongside it, he maneuvered so he was slightly behind the two ladies, next to the dornish man.

She followed Lorraine,"I look forward to getting someplace warm and having a meal in the Eyrie."
"This trek is very taxing", she smiled at Lorraine,"but I am having a good time."
